Lewis and Clark Wilderness

Did you know that I was a mountain goat on Corps of Discovery Day because I climbed a big steep hill? My mom took the easy way.

Guess what my mom kept saying. “You’re too close to the edge!” She freaked out! My twin sister Autumn had to help me because I was a scaredy-cat. Autumn even found a hiking stick, so then I had to hold her bag for her. Martha and Jaelyn were in my group too. Mommy and Mr. Roger were our guides.

During the photography workshop, I took too many photos of Autumn. She was the star for my pictures. The most pictures I took of Autumn were along the hiking trail.

We even had a pretty good time when we had to choose a place alone to paint or sing praises, and we saw the falls. Profile Falls was taller than twenty people stacked up, and Sacagawea climbed the whole thing! The water was white and foamy. It was so loud with the splishing and the splashing. I took great pictures of the falls too.

For lunch we had squirrel, bobcat, fish, black bear, and venison. I had it all on my plate, but I put the fish on a tree because I thought it looked disgusting. My favorite was the venison.

It was a fun day! We got to stay late at the park, and we truly got to go to the wilderness with Sacagawea like Lewis and Clark.
